Realising potential through partnership

Revd Canon Richard Hancock

I have been the Vicar of the Shrivenham & Ashbury Benefice now for fifteen years during this time I have been very involved in the life of the schools in the benefice including Shrivenham CofE School, Longcot CofE School, Ashbury CofE School, Watchfield Primary School and Pinewood Prep School. I have served on the governing body of Shrivenham CofE School and am Chair of the School Trustees of all three CofE Schools in which I take an active part. I visit all the schools regularly leading collective worship and helping produce the termly collective worship themes for the three church schools. I am also a Chaplain at the Defence Academy of the UK based in Shrivenham.

More recently I was appointed by the Oxford Diocese as one of the three Diocesan Directors on the Academy Board and sit on the PR & Communications Subcommittee. I also serve on the Diocesan Joint Mission and Educational Strategy Group. On a personal level both my boys attend Faringdon Community College and my wife is a teacher at Watchfield Primary School.
