Realising potential through partnership

Paul Walker

Picture 1

Prior to being appointed as the Curate in Faringdon I taught in a secondary school for 14 years. Over that time I taught Music, Drama, Philosophy and Ethics, RE and History. I gained management experience as a pastoral leader and teacher of Key Stages 3,4 and 5 and in these roles I supported the safeguarding and personal development needs of those in my care. As a Director of Learning I monitored and nurtured the academic progress of a third of the school, facilitating successful transition and learning pathways of those in my care and having a role in supporting staff development and implementing significant structural change.

As a representative of the diocese I look forward to using the experience I have gained to help support the schools in the Faringdon Academy. While I have responsibility for the collective, I will put an emphasis on how what we do affects the individual, not only in an academic sense, though also spiritually, morally, socially and Culturally.
